“When the world feels heavy and Christmas feels quiet, let us remember: the Savior came not to perfect places but to the mess, the ache, and the weary. Even in the silence, His light shines through the cracks. 🌟 Let this season remind us that hope often arrives softly, where we least expect it.”
This year, Christmas feels off—
like a melody out of tune
or a candle that flickers but won’t quite catch.
I watch the world wrap itself in tinsel,
but the glitter can’t seem to cover
the ache underneath.
It’s not just me—
you feel it too, don’t you?
The heaviness in the air,
the numb shuffle through decorated aisles,
like joy is hiding somewhere
and we’re too tired to search.
The stockings hang, but the warmth is missing.
The cookies bake, but there’s a hollowness
even sugar can’t fill.
It’s as if the season is asking us to pause,
to sit with the stillness
and really see what we’re missing.
But maybe that’s the point—
maybe Christmas isn’t about the glitter and glow,
but about finding light in the cracks.
The Savior didn’t come to a perfect stage—
He came to a barn,
to the mess,
to the ache of a weary world.
So, if the season feels numb,
it’s okay.
Even the silence holds His presence.
Even the emptiness is an invitation
to make room for the hope
we can’t yet see.
